The Probably Untrue Story Of Mary (who) Had A Little Lamb is designed for the listening pleasure of children and adults alike. It is equal parts entertainment and education. Musically speaking, it is comprised of a set of variations on the familiar tune "Mary Had A Little Lamb". The variations act as "musical illustrations" for a story which is a takeoff on the familiar poem "Mary's Lamb". Additionally, lamb and listener are introduced to a famous work by Antonio Vivaldi. "Mary" has been performed by orchestras around the country including the Dallas Symphony, The San Diego Symphony and the Utah Symphony. The CD of "Mary" won a Parent's Choice "Recommended" award. "Mary" comes in two versions: full orchestra and chamber orchestra. There is also a 13 -minute optional orchestral preview which introduces the listener to the concept of musical variations as well as the instruments of the orchestra.
